A few kilometers from the Château du Bec du Gave, you will find a large number of golf courses accessible to everyone, professionals and amateurs alike, to improve your skills or get started. Discover the Biarritz golf courses (51km), Hossegor (33km), Seignosse (33km), Pinsolle(43km ), Moliets (56km) and Saliès de Béarn (33km). 

On the Atlantic Coast or on the rivers Water activities

On the banks of the Adour and the Gave or on the beaches of the Atlantic Coast, you can try your hand at numerous water activities such as surfing, jet skiing, water skiing, fishing, kayaking, canoeing and standup paddleboarding. For surfing, we suggest the spots of Mundaka, La Chambre d'Amour, La Gravière and Les Estagnots. To swim and have fun, don't miss the Sames Water Park (16km). 

On foot, by bike or on horseback Walks

The region is renowned for its fine sandy beaches, its forests and its beautiful walking trails. From one of the twenty equestrian centers in the region, you can go for a beautiful ride in the countryside. Don't forget to go mountain biking, in the Cauneille forests, or cycling, along the Adour. Around the estate, you will discover walks to take in the woods.

Winter sports Ski areas

About a two-hour drive from our prestigious guesthouse castle in Les Landes, you will find the ski areas of the Pyrenees. As soon as the first snowflakes appear, we'll meet you on the slopes where you can practice cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding or dog sledding. 

Awaken your taste buds Culinary specialties

The region is full of renowned culinary specialties. The wines of Bordeaux and the Basque Country are renowned for their quality and diversity. foie gras is a specialty of the southwest, whether goose or duck, it is often present in festive meals. fish, such as salmon and swordfish, are caught in the Atlantic and are particularly popular. traditional dishes such as Basque chicken, garbure, veal Axoa or piperade, are also essentials of local cuisine. Finally, sheep's cheese and goat's cheese are very popular.

Landes Colors & Perfumes Local markets

If you are interested in local markets, here is some information on nearby towns where you can find fresh, local products. Peyrehorade has a market every Wednesday and Saturday morning. Salies-de-Béarn has a market every Thursday morning, while Dax and Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse both have, markets on Saturday mornings. If you are in the region in summer, don't miss the Pouillon night market, which takes place every Friday evening in July and August.
